“Starriders #3: Pranksters United” is now available!

The Starriders are back and in trouble, once again!

First, it was the drug kingpin, the Golden Dragon.

Then it was local street punks, the Virus, wreaking havoc and with the Starriders in their cross hairs.

Now, Kris, Jason, Kip and Rhand face their toughest obstacle, yet: prankster rivals Whitney High. This may turn out to be their strongest challenge ever… and the funnest!

Summer is soon to come to a close, and they’re all off to the International Youth Performing Arts Festival, at the massive convention/theme park Millennial Gardens, there to compete against other teens in a variety of performing arts.

Among the performances and socializing, the prank war between their North HS and rivals Whitney HS, begin right away.

Harmless pranks swiftly escalate over the course of the 3 day event. Will Kris, Jason, Ptarmi, and the others end the event with their professionalism – and virtue – intact?

Salt Lake City Comic Con 2016 a success!

Booth Babe Christie and I had a great time at SLC CC, this weekend.  We sold out of the copies of SoulChaser I had on hand and lots of Jean Archer, as well.  I didn’t take as many pics as I usually do, but I’ll soon post the ones I did take.

What to read…

I’ve had people ask me which of my books I recommend they read first. That’s a tough one, since they cover a couple genres and age groups. This is what I’ve determined:

  1. If you like over-the-top teen adventure, read Starriders, keeping in mind these are my first 2 books in print.

  2. If you like teen paranormal/supernatural adventure, read Jean Archer. It’s also the teen entry into the SoulChaser Universe. (I think of them as the SoulChaser “gateway” books.)

  3. If you like high-octane, paranormal/action/thrillers, then the SoulChaser books are the ones for you.

Important reminder, these are all ongoing series, so more books are due out for all 3 story lines.

Carter Reid and thezombienation.com

For those that aren’t aware, the awesome cover for “Jean Archer: The Diamond and the Rough” was beautifully done by Carter Reid, creator and artist for thezombienation.com.  If you haven’t had a chance to read through and laugh at this slacker zombie web comic, I highly recommend it.  I’ve literally laughed out loud while reading through this very entertaining ongoing story.  Keep in mind, it’s about a zombie slacker, so irreverence abounds, but that’s part of its undead charm!

The SoulChaser Universe and the Jean Archer Quartet

MEET JEAN…

… a fiery, 17-year-old redheaded ghost hunter. With her team at her back, Jean and Co-Lead Investigator Cristoff Rainns, delve into the deep shadows and living darkness within their biggest investigation: the massive, abandoned Knoll Mansion Asylum. But they soon find out, sometimes getting what you really want can be your downfall. An Entity lurks in the cluttered, decaying halls of the buildings. It knows the PASSteam’s deepest fears and turns them back on the teens. It is only through the assistance of Jean’s new Guardian Angel, Valera, that they are able to escape from the mansion with their lives.

But the nightmares have just begun…

At the huge county fair just days later, the PASS team is again confronted by the Entity, this time by possessing the body of a vagrant unlucky enough to seek refuge within the old asylum’s walls. It is down to Jean and the team to defeat the human puppet and keep the Entityfrom running rampant through Shadow Valley…and beyond.

Will the revelation of Jean‘s Guardian Angel and mysterious past be enough to protect her loved ones from the coming chaos…

Salt Lake Comic Con 2015 – Hindsight 20/20

This year’s Comic Con in Salt Lake City, UT, went very well.  I enjoyed it a great deal, and here’s hoping Booth Babe Christie and my daughter Haley both did, as well.  A big thanks to the guys at Wordfire Press for hosting an excellent book launch bash on Friday night…well worth staying up for.
Once I have the pictures and thoughts organized, I’ll post them here over the next few days.
